Gutthi - aka Sunil Grover

I dont know about others but personally I just love to see this character of Gutthi. This character has been truly immortalized by this show.

Gutthi has become so popular that her facebook page has got more than 327K likes in just 6 days.

But it’s not the first time a character played by Sunil Grover has become so popular. A few years back he got many awards for his show on Radio Mirchi titled Hassey Ke Phuarey. On the show, he played the character of a deadpan 'Sudarshan' aka SUD and used to narrate silly jokes in an interesting tone.

Gutthi aka Sunil Grover is not a new name. He has been tickling our bellies since quite sometime now. .He hosted a show called Kya Aap Paanchvi Fail Champu Hain? on Sahara Filmy, which is a parody of Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?.He used to copy Shahrukh Khan in an immaculate style.He hosted a show called Kaun Banega Champu onSahara Filmy, which is a parody of Kaun Banega Crorepati. He starred in the Bollywood movie "Zila Ghaziabad" too.

Sunil has completed his Masters in theatre from Chandigarh and agrees that the experience has been handy in making a mark on the small screen. “Studying theatre does give you an edge. It’s all about applying that knowledge in your characters,” says Sunil. He is a towering 5'11" tall.

While the actor is now a known name, he reveals that no one from his family is connected to the industry. He hails from a small village that most people he’s encountered are not even aware of. He says, “I come from Manditapwali, a small village. My grandfather was a teacher while father was into bank service. I moved to Mumbai some years back and started working on TV shows.”

Some of his welcome songs are hilarious and have become extremely popular.  I personally have friends who love to copy his dance and his welcome song.
