Today the news channels are flooding with news about this sudden and unexpected event - fire gutted down the sets of comedy nights. Kapil estimates monetary losses to the tune of 20-22 crore INR but is grateful that there was no loss of life.He was going to shoot with Sonu Nigam but the plans were foiled by the fire. The fire was reportedly due to a short circuit.
It seems that Kapil's stars are not very favorable at the moment. To add salt to the wound Kapil Sharma was recently questioned by the Service Tax Department for alleged non payment of tax dues to the tune of INR 60 lakh.
Not only this, another trouble which was on line was regarding Comedy Nights With Kapil's crew members. According to a leading daily, some of Kapil's crew members were not apparently paid their salaries since July and were upset on the producer and show host. Now, this really seems to be a big trouble for the show after the sets were gutted by a major fire on Sep 25 in Goregaon Film City. According to a leading daily, Kapil's team will be shooting their four upcoming episodes in Lonavala. The new set will be ready in a month's time.
Since the fire was massive there are theories floating around of an alleged conspiracy involved. There was no shooting going on when the fire broke out. “There was no shooting for the past two to three days on the sets. Four persons came in the morning to set up cameras for the shooting scheduled in the afternoon. But, they saw the fire and called the security guards who informed the fire brigade,” said Uttam More, senior police inspector of Aarey Colony police station.
Conspiracy cannot be sidelined due to the following valid reasons:
The above are speculations based on first hand information and once the investigations are done the cause would be ascertained.

Conspiracy cannot be sidelined due to the following valid reasons:
- the show has had incredible rating and many people watch it on YouTube as well. Also the social media impact has been mind-blowing. Everyone has been tweeting about this show lately. It has become such a sensation.
- The other channels and shows were facing TRP related issues - not to forget the new TV drama 24, inspired by the original 24 in which Anil Kapoor made a guest appearance, which is due on Colors at the same time slot as The Comedy Nights with Kapil. Colors is naturally grabbing away all the limelight.
- The sudden losing into oblivion of other TV shows and other stand-up comedians - the jealousy angle cannot be ignored.
- And then there have been some internal issues related to Kapil's K9 Productions and the channel, various investors, advertisers, crew - whose payments have been delayed and so on and so forth.
The above are speculations based on first hand information and once the investigations are done the cause would be ascertained.
We just hope Kapil gets out of this mess soon and resumes the show that has become an integral part of our lives now.
